Written by Jacob Ibrag
To the ones
who think they owe
anything to anyone, I promise
that you don’t. Not your heart. Not
your mind. Not your body. Not your soul.
There is but one, the single reflection
that stares when you look
into the mirror.
Reflection is a tree…..it seldom lives for it self…a puzzling poem….

What if one’s reflection is no longer pleasing? Living with a contribution to others may heal the pain. Or is this too literal a response?

I think giving to others helps us understand who that person in that mirror truly is.

It’s very true, those words, you don’t owe ANYTHING to anybody, and NOBODY owes anything to you, but a lot of people often think that because of the misfortunes in their lives, someone out here on earth owe them, and that, is precisely why those people will NEVER feel satsified of life.

Even if we did ‘owe’ to others, we do not truly own anything in our lives, with which we could pay others. But since no one truly owns anything (it’s all on loan from Nature), it’s not possible for us to be in that kind of debt to begin with. I really like the wisdom in this poem, as well as the form and way it’s written.
