Collective

Written by Jacob Ibrag

For as long as I’ve been writing, Iโ€™ve

been searching for the perfect sentence. A

collective of words that transcends beyond

meaning. An unnatural marriage of euphoria

and despair. Something so nostalgic and yet

impossible to remember. I haven’t found my

whale just yet. Maybe I’m not ready to pen

it, then again maybe it doesn’t exist.

  1. Sounds more like a state of mind you’re trying to achieve, and not something concrete that you can touch…

  8. Thank you for sharing! I love posts that truly make you think. We all have the potential to wow the world with a message unique to us, it is just the act of wording it that stops us.

  9. How amazing it would be if our writing purposes were to find that one sentence… the sheer thought makes me glow! Thank you for planting that thought in my mind!

  10. This is awesome! Our writer’s dilemma, can we find that perfect sentence? Maybe. But then would we quit writing? So beautifully stated, very thought provoking. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Hmmm a perfect sentence ….maybe there are no words …maybe those moments of ‘perfection’ or ‘bliss’ are only to be found in silence:)

I’d say you’re very close to achieving your goal, if not already there. This was nice and soul touching!

  14. We seek common grammar! I’m fascinated with phrases of words, sentenced together into a transcendent meaning. I feel like I’m just scratching the surface of something much larger, much greater. Still, it’s nice just to write and let my sub-conscious speak for but a moment.
