Diverge

Written by Jacob Ibrag

‘Do you know where you are

right now?’ Asked the tiger as the

man in gray remained silently petrified.

‘Tell me, do you understand why you were

brought here?’ Frustrated with the mans quiet

nature, the tiger got on it’s hind legs and demanded,

‘I won’t ask you again boy, speak.’ Dropping to his knees,

the man begged for mercy, ‘I know nothing! I swear I didn’t

do anything! Please God forgive me for-‘ ‘God can’t hear you, only

I can. You’re right, you know nothing and you haven’t done anything.

Thirty seventh year into your existence and look at you, same bumbling fool

with a different genetic makeup.’ ‘Who are you, and what do you want from

me?’ Asked the man as his tears began to flow south. ‘You can call me a

cautionary reminder, a conscience with lonely teeth. When you wake,

you’ll want to believe that this was all a bad dream. You’ll want to

continue to follow a carefree naive regime. I’ll pray that you

diverge from this line of thinking because, not even

God knows what I’ll do to you if you continue

to breathe without reason. Create true

meaning or live within me.’

  5. “God cant hear you, only i can…” We are to help when we can, coz God resides in us all. Help unto others and as we can, if not what more can we offer each other.
