Tonight is the night! Buy your $10 ticket for the 1st ever NYC Eyes + Words Open Mic Poetry Slam Night on Eventbrite or at the door. If you live in New York and have nothing better to do tonight around 7 PM, please come by and share the night with us.
Everyone is encouraged to perform, spectating is more than fine as well. Each performer will have about 5 minutes to present an original piece they wrote, or something they admire; this includes: a poem, rap, short story, song, skit, etc. followed by a Q&A (optional).
It’ll be held in the Playroom Theater at 7 PM on March 22nd, 2017. Space will be limited (62 seats) so be sure to RSVP and get your ticket as soon as you can.
Admission is $10 and refreshments will be served. Can’t wait to finally meet and hear from all of you soon.

I was gonna do an open mic a month or so ago but I had to cancel it cos of a family problem. I was relived and sad at the same time. I’ll do it again some time.
I really hope it goes well. Great initiative.
Since it is 2017, we all enjoy the modern opportunity to create reach the world through the web. Perhaps one day their can be a worldwide poetry slam that is live streamed.
