Obsolete

Written by Jacob Ibrag

I don’t think it’s writers block. I think it’s

the missing desire to want and need to transcribe the

images and characters living in my mind onto this permanent

piece of paper. Once they crawl through these fingers and find

a new home, I become obsolete. All that’s left is, me.

  11. I like that idea of feeling obsolete once the words are “out there.” Well, actually, I don’t like the feeling, but I get the idea.

  13. This is, really sad, because after you no longer do ]hat it is that you’re doing, you’d lost sense of who you are…

  14. I can relate. I have an almost (well maybe complete) obsession with trying to translate every experience into a poem or story. I have to slap my hand from time to time and say, “Hey, experience life!” Great poem, especially for poets.
