Poetry

Existing

Written by Jacob Ibrag

Sentences only the writer could

possibly understand. Gibberish outlined in a

gibberish manner. Putting yourself in their shoes,

pretending to get it. Nodding in the confusion, maybe

this is a part of the experience. And what if it isn’t?

What if it doesn’t mean a thing? What if these

words exist just for the sake of existing?

Over the years Eyes + Words has turned into a wonderful budding family of over fifteen thousand people across all platforms. It’s surreal and humbling to know that the art of poetry and story is alive and thriving. That being said, I hope that the creation of the Eyes + Words Writers Group serves as a vehicle and launch pad to help and support writers and the aspiring ones to keep manifesting words that many out there are searching for everyday. So go on and contribute, lets elevate together. Everyone is encouraged to share their experiences with anything involving writing.

  1. sometimes we have this tendency of a need to interpret what the writer is saying, where as the writers are just, expressing themselves, the only way they knew how, through their writngs.

  2. words themselves want to be what they want to be
and maybe we all have a way of getting in their way?

ah, see, I have no conscious idea what that even meant….
it was just a responsive spillage. Hm.

And yet, what if……. What if……. Every mind is a universe, every word a brand new citizen; don’t you think all have a right to be, to EXIST?

  5. This is so pretty! No one can truly interpret any piece of art, it’s a figment of the artist’s imagination, and a piece of the artist’s expression! Love it!
There’s a similar poem on my blog, would like if you read it!
