She’s Waited

Written by Jacob Ibrag

She looked out through her window

in silence. Not a cloud in the sky. Not a car on

the road. Images. Pictures of conversation. Faces.

Each with expectation. Want and the need to take

it. Courage and the will to stand. She’s waited.

Years beyond days. She is done waiting.
