Show’s over. Nothing left to see. You bought
your ticket and watched every possible scene. Actors
fatigued and tired of pretending. They want to go home and
be comfortable in their own skin. And yet you remain, waiting for
something to happen. Maybe they’ll sing some more and exist for your
wanting. Maybe they’ll dance a little and invite you onto the stage.
It’s over now and you’re the only one that’s playing. They
need you to go and come another day. This wasn’t
personal until you decided to stay.
