Half A Heart

Written By Jacob Ibrag

She kept staring at him. Waiting for the right time

to strike and capture his heart. After all the battles he’s

endured through, her task wouldn’t be easy. He knew the

sport well and lost a lot during his time in the war. Like her,

all he had was half a heart. To go in for the kill would expose her,

and render the mission a failure. Suddenly, without intention; their

eyes would meet. Souls connected. Beautiful eternity. He struck while

she was still lost in forever, touching her heart, warming his own.

She grabbed his hand and asked him to never let go. He nodded

and promised to show her the world. Winter ended that day,

all lost souls found their way. Their hearts locked into

one, life for those two had finally begun.
