Rock

Written by Jacob Ibrag

His heart let out a rhythm that was

contingent upon her breathing. She crept

into every facet of his soul. Influence spiked

uncontrollably. Her choke hold had him addicted.

Euphoric Ecstasy. This had to be love, she thought.

I’m his Queen, he’s still as a rock. With a quick hit

of her soft eyes, she kept him in line. Forever is a

myth, and so was her pull on his heart strings. There

would come a day that his mind would collide with

reality. What was once so stable, had finally joined

the sands of time. He was free from her reign, yet

something was amiss. She was his Queen, he loved

being her rock. ‘These strings are now a part of me.’
