Heart

Written by Jacob Ibrag

‘For better or worse.’ That was yesterday.

I rose from the grave after you stole half of my

heart and ran away. A phone call later, I’m right by

your side again. My blood forever running through

your veins. After everything, you’re still the only thing

that ever made any sense. I want to reset the present,

pretend we’ve never met. And yet, I’m part of a whole

again. Reject this sensation, remember what she did.

Take my blood and live your life, just let go

of my  heart and let me live mine.
