Written by Jacob Ibrag
When things got too good, he couldn’t
handle it. He didn’t think he deserved her
and what she brought out of him. Solace.
Tranquility. State of peace. He wanted her,
but the past catches up faster than bullets.
That’s just the way it is, a rule that lacked
exception. So all of this laughter shared
among the fire on this cold starry night
was for nothing. He owed her his soul
so he wanted to bare it all, ‘I’ve been
hiding something from you.’ She
moved in closer and smiled,
‘I already know.’

So, no matter how he tried to hide, she’d still known…

She didn’t necessarily know what he was keeping from her, she just knew deep within her bones that something was hindering him from being completely present within their relationship.

and, her instincts were probably right, that he wasn’t fully into their relationship, perhaps, still hung up on an old flame, maybe???

Maybe it was an old flame, maybe it was something completely different.

So, she will need to, wait and see then???

Maybe not, maybe she doesn’t care to know and just wants him to feel at peace within the relationship. Maybe it’s something completely different. The ending is open to interpretation.
