Fade

Written by Jacob Ibrag

They served narrative,

and we fed. They told us to look

away, and we did. Today we exercise

the right to wake. Today we give them

what they want or swear off familiarity.

Fallen leaves are meant to fade. Broken

realities are meant to be replaced.

Beautiful and beautifully ambiguous. Is it about the election, the season, both? As always, love your writing and the sense of mystery it contains.

I love it, you have such power with words that your poems never cease to amaze me! Haha, I dabble in poetry here and there but yours are just something else (in a good way). XD
