Written by Jacob Ibrag
Stretching his fingers past the Earth’s
atmosphere, he plucked the moon out of rotation
and presented his gift to the woman in the black dress.
‘Don’t waste that luminous sphere on me, give it to someone
that can reciprocate what you’re feeling.’ Taken back by her honesty,
he explained that emotion is a butterfly that never rests, forever
changing its trajectory and dissipating. ‘You’re the moon
I’ve been searching for, unique in what you are
and honest to what you’ll never be.’
Beautiful in all aspects,
as shown through
honesty is one’s purity.
Great piece Jacob! π
