Illusion

Written by Jacob Ibrag

It’s how he listened to me,

his focus nearly distracting. Felt

so Hollywood, something so fake

only told in myths. Yet he lingered

onto every single breath. My words,

his refreshment. Even as his ringtone

went off, the attention remained

undivided. Explanation?

‘You’re an illusion.’
