Written by Jacob Ibrag
I never thanked you.
I’d like to if you’ll let me.
For the past year,
I’ve been pouring out letters into your souls ocean.
All of these words have been living inside of me
for so long and it finally waterfalled out.
Your eyes have been my self prescribed prescription
and oh how good it feels.
You’re the cigar I smoke at the end of each day.
You’re the puppy that knocks me down
and licks reality off my face.
Thanks for sitting by my side and gazing at the stars.
You’ve been there for one hundred poems this year,
I hope you stay for a hundred more.
