Different

Written by Jacob Ibrag

You’re out of sight,

and I can still hear your

voice clearer than mine.

Wish you told us what

was  going on,  like the fact

that your  time with us

was  almost gone. Thing’s

would’ve been  different, I

swear we would’ve been

diligent. All you ever did

was laugh at our stupid

jokes and try to make us

feel better about ourselves,

well how about you?

What have we ever done

for you that would’ve at

least tipped the scales one

bit in our favor. Instead

of driving to your place

like we use to after a long

day at the job, we’re driving

to your funeral. I miss you

brother,  why’d you

have to leave us?
