The galaxy could collapse

in this moment as the air

rarefies rendering our lungs

useless and I would still fight

through the fire in my throat

to tell you that what we had

was worth it. We filled one

another’s empty pages with

living color and emotion.

You’re the only thing that

truly made sense to me.
