Written by Jacob Ibrag
She sat up and stared at my hand,
‘if I asked you to stay a bit longer,
would you?’ Even if my physical
presence was lost, I’d always be hers.
When we come into this world, we’re
broken without a reason given to us
regarding this emotion. We’ll swim
through clouds from moment to the
next, searching for something we can’t
quite put into words just yet. Then it
happens, like magnets, the two souls
unite and dance through the halls of
nirvana all while still being completely
infused with thoughts of sadness. How
was it possible that the other existed
without its better half for as long as it
has? In that moment, nothing else
matters as the world around them
renders itself silent. Showing off a
little grin, I take my jacket off and
sit next to her, ‘I’ll always be here.’

Your love poems are so beautiful! They bring a smile to my heart.
