Word

Written by Jacob Ibrag

His hand pierced through her chest and

gently grabbed hold of the heart that forgot

it’s own rhythm. With his other hand, he

slowly brushed her cheek and asked her to

trust him. They closed their eyes in unison

as his energy started to flow from his heart

to her body. In a matter of seconds, she

started to breathe again and feel a tingling

sensation in her fingertips. Waking up from

the experience, she found his body laying

next to hers. He gave her everything, his

word and his final breath.
