Written by Jacob Ibrag
You beg for my ear. Where was all
of this attention coming from? I was
just this girl in the corner you ignored.
My wings finally came in, and so did
you. As I burst off the ground, you grab
hold and drag me back. ‘I never noticed
you before. ‘You never cared to look.
The struggle morphed my life, your
ignorance made me fight. You thirst
for the perfect, I don’t want any part
of it. I’m the accumulation of the
climb. Those that shared my blood
and tears, hold on. I owe you my
flight. Each feather serves
as my reminder.

Lovely and well written!

Enjoyed this very much. The sensation of the wholeness of our being as it breaks into motion…
