Written by Jacob Ibrag
He rolled up his sleeves, tonight felt different.
The sky lend a few more stars, the city of tears
took a break. He walked up to the little red house
on the corner and began to knock. It was the girl
from the bar. Dragon tattoo mystery. She smiled
at him and stared as he began to speak. ‘This town
leaves little for dreamers. Blindly accepting, we
become what it needs. You shook my insides the
moment words started coming out of those lips,
jolting purpose into my existence. I promise to
be your light if it vanishes.’ She placed her hand
on his cheek, told him that she was forever
leaving, ‘run away with me.’
