Illumination

Written by Jacob Ibrag

The day’s sun puts on a different

mask at night. Moon showers a familiar light

as she tilts her eyes to the great white ball in the sky.

Darkness struggles to contain her mind, fighting its way

down her spine. Seeking refuge, doing everything it can to

move her hands towards the direction where it’s taking the

most damage. Succeeding yet it’s too late, she’s addicted.

Illumination. A host to a new drug filled with new

visions. A new hope, her new religion.
