There are days when routine is enough,

when I would temporarily part from the whispers

of my conscience. I’d wake, work and go back to bed.

No thinking involved, it’s automatic.Then there are

days when I’d wake and halt myself from doing a thing.

No physical movement. Raw self reflection. I’d question

every one of my intentions, whether this body and mind

was furthering its passenger towards a sound destination.

I wondered what my soul would say if somehow it could

talk to me. As I’d try to dive deeper within my psyche, the

Suns claws would pull at the corners of my eye lids.

Routine would call my name, and I’d follow it.
