Cold

Written by Jacob Ibrag

I’m close now, near a

place I used to call home.

It’s supposed to be easy to

come back to something so

ingrained in our bones. Yet if

that’s true, then why does

the familiar feel so cold?

  5. I did not really understand who you were before, as I’ve seen occasional visits and likes on a couple of my blogs, but now that I better understand, I am enjoying reading your brand of poetry.

  6. Every time we tell ourselves, “this is suppose to be easy.” when it is difficult, then we are set up for suffering. I think you brought this to light in your poem.

  7. Your body is the best home until it too turns cold on you. That’s when you want to leave it too. Rest all is just a matter of thought. Speaking of that, homeless people have the best home as it’s always cold. Thought provoking read. Thanks for sharing!
