I’ve been trading in our days for eyes I’ve

never met that feed on my stream of social media

consciousness. You’re listening to me, yet you aren’t really

there. Cheating on one another with frozen souls fixated on

moving images. I hate that I love the way we like each others

statuses. How could’ve we allowed our love reduce to this?

  2. Another good one. I’d love to hear about your process writing these. Are they ever part of a bigger piece, or do you write each one to be this concise? By the way, I nominated you for the Sunshine Blogger Award. It doesn’t seem like you do that kind of thing, but I’m definitely a fan of your stuff. Honestly these little posts really add a bright spot to my day.

    • Thank you very much. I like to think that I’m creating a jigsaw puzzle of sorts. Some pieces fit with ideas and emotion I’ve recorded in the past while others exist on their own. I never really plan for pieces to be long or short, I do however aim to make sure that there are layers of meaning and openness of interpretation in each. I’m not a fan of dragging out a story for the purpose of filling up a blank page, that’s exactly how to lose a person’s barely undivided attention.

      • I’ve viewed it as a jigsaw puzzle of sorts as well – this piece setting nicely with that, but never forced – and some being solely their own. Always with layers for the curious to unfold and enjoy.

  6. This was really beautiful. I loved the imagery. I had to read it a few times just to drink in all of it.
