Replay

Written by Jacob Ibrag

‘Movies to watch.’ I’m never

interested. I’ve lived through them

all while being here. Scenes on replay,

I still see the plates break. Celebrations

and arguments on rewind and repeat.

Sometimes I feel like, they’re

all watching we.

  1. That is certainly a relatable piece of prose there. The movies I’ve lived through have never been mainstream, so to speak.

  2. Hmmm… interesting. It’s like we are the movie. This reminds me of a Jack Johnson line in a song, “Silent films are full of sound.” Sometimes I feel like my most traumatic events in my life were the most shocking that I didn’t respond right away but when I did it was “shouting” during a silent film. You know what I mean? πŸ™‚

  6. Sometimes we’re the actors and actresses, and at other times, we’re, observers, just watching without participating in the goings on of life…

I love this! As I read, it felt like it could be in a song since it flowed so well. Nicely done πŸ™‚
