Replay

‘Movies to watch.’ I’m never

interested. I’ve lived through them

all while being here. Scenes on replay,

I still see the plates break. Celebrations

and arguments on rewind and repeat.

Sometimes I feel like, they’re

all watching we.

  1. That is certainly a relatable piece of prose there. The movies I’ve lived through have never been mainstream, so to speak.

  2. Hmmm… interesting. It’s like we are the movie. This reminds me of a Jack Johnson line in a song, “Silent films are full of sound.” Sometimes I feel like my most traumatic events in my life were the most shocking that I didn’t respond right away but when I did it was “shouting” during a silent film. You know what I mean? 🙂

  3. The problem comes when real life seems pale when contrasted to the flickering on the screen.

  6. Sometimes we’re the actors and actresses, and at other times, we’re, observers, just watching without participating in the goings on of life…

  7. I love this! As I read, it felt like it could be in a song since it flowed so well. Nicely done 🙂
