Revelations

Written by Jacob Ibrag

Revelations. Assumptions

stumped accordingly. What was

once a thought, crushed. Allegations

and rumor. ‘I’m pretty sure that’s what

happened.’ Upside down. It starts with

a whisper and ends with a storm.

Over the years Eyes + Words has turned into a wonderful budding family of over fifteen thousand people across all platforms. It’s surreal and humbling to know that the art of poetry and story is alive and thriving. That being said, I hope that the creation of the Eyes + Words Writers Group serves as a vehicle and launch pad to help and support writers and the aspiring ones to keep manifesting words that many out there are searching for everyday. So go on and contribute, lets elevate together. Everyone is encouraged to share their experiences with anything involving writing.

Interesting. It’s very concrete. Especially for today’s age. Rumors ought to be kept in the mill; though there is no moral weight in your poem’s tone. The poem is very matter of fact. It captures an “Essence” very well; the meaning isn’t hidden, but it doesn’t need to be hidden.

It hits my conscience, particularly. It’s blowing up random access memories, fears, doubts, which is what good poetry should do. It’s accessed something, particularly that hidden secret we all have, the fear of being found out, or the fear of being not accepted. The poem reaches into a subconscious measure, almost dreamlike.

I like this poem a lot.

  6. That line, though: “It starts with a whisper and ends with a storm.” Powerful!
