Imagined

Written by Jacob Ibrag

‘Keep your eyes on

mine,’ she whispered as the sun

swallowed the earth and all of its baggage.

Birth of an end, an empty canvas for a darker

chapter. She had just found him. ‘And you

were exactly how I had,’ imagined.

Over the years Eyes + Words has turned into a wonderful budding family of over fifteen thousand people across all platforms. It’s surreal and humbling to know that the art of poetry and story is alive and thriving. That being said, I hope that the creation of the Eyes + Words Writers Group serves as a vehicle and launch pad to help and support writers and the aspiring ones to keep manifesting words that many out there are searching for everyday. So go on and contribute, lets elevate together. Everyone is encouraged to share their experiences with anything involving writing.

  2. How at this starting stage of love, the two involved think that nothing can ever hurt them, so long they love one another like they do, how naive!!!

  4. Thank you for liking my “Crow” poem. I returned to an online video which prompted my imagination to write it and discovered it was really a group of turkeys, circling and mourning a dead cat! Strange how poems sometimes write themselves, huh?
