Food for Thought

Written by W.M. Gillingham

A bit of Hemingway for breakfast, if you wouldn’t terribly

mind, and remember the raspberry jam, but for lunch let’s keep it

light, so a delightful bowl of Mark Twain and a short Frost for a side and

I’d like to treat myself with tea at 2 and some Maillard to dunk into the earl

grey but dinner needs something heavy and deep and flavorful; Hardy; or

an Austen; mash on the side and string beans as well. Dessert I think

I’d like something chocolate and contemplative, perhaps a short

by Chekhov. And at the witching hour I’ll need something

to send me off to sleep; Bukowski laced whiskey.

Over the years Eyes + Words has turned into a wonderful budding family of over fifteen thousand people across all platforms. It’s surreal and humbling to know that the art of poetry and story is alive and thriving. That being said, I hope that the creation of the Eyes + Words Writers Group serves as a vehicle and launch pad to help and support writers and the aspiring ones to keep manifesting words that many out there are searching for everyday. So go on and contribute, lets elevate together. Everyone is encouraged to share their experiences with anything involving writing.
