Remain Focused

Written by Jacob Ibrag

What if we aren’t the ones in the mirror.

Fingerprints lost in another home. Have you ever looked

directly above your head? I just did. There’s nothing there except a

sun hiding behind a white sky, an uncountable number of planets, and

the stars sprinkled in between. There’s nothing there except the minds of

those who are constantly asked to remain focused. There’s nothing there

except everything I can’t possibly begin to comprehend. The dog I never

had stares at the books I never wrote. The books I never wrote

carrying answers to questions I have yet to dream of.
