My Distraction

Written by Jacob Ibrag

My neck hurts, so I stretch it. It still hurts,

so I try to release the pressure by cracking it. I watch

me in the mirror watching myself in the mirror. Mimicking

a dance I have just created. I’m dancing and it’s terrible. Words

form above my head. These aren’t thoughts, it’s more of a wishlist.

Beach. My friends. Novel tea flavors. I need a new hobby and

another cup of passion. I need you to be my distraction.
