This Life

He moved with intention. A man unafraid

of potential rejection. At worst, “I’ll have a story to

tell. I’ll become the reality the alternate me wishes he

could be. He’ll imagine this life and I’ll get to live it. He’ll

lie awake in bed, wanting to return and get another

chance. I’ll wake up and do it all over again.”
