Spotlight

Written by Jacob Ibrag

It was easier when no one knew who

you were. The shadows were a tool and

disappearing was a perfected art. Why do

people favor the spotlight? It’s an all around

curse, a nuisance. Say goodbye to your freedom.

You miss that now, all eyes glued to yours. This is

what you thought you wanted. This audience is in

your pocket, be careful though. One wrong move,

just one. They’ll place a blade near your throat

and demand a refund. They’ll want your

blood and tears. Never give in,

the show must go on.
