Yellow brick roads right beneath our noses,
shown to the world and they hose it with a fake plastic
roses. Damn she’s elusive. Dodging every single word. She
accepted my friendship. Keep your friends close right? Stranded
on the outside, can’t even look in. Windows to her mind blacked
out. You’re right next to me, looking away into the horizon. Shifty.
Frustrated. Tell me what happened. Then it hits me like a brick, can’t
have my cake and eat it too. She wanted me, I wanted space. That
was over a decade ago, can’t you just let it go? No. No resolutions
for those who secluded the voices that sounded only inches
away. Connection rescinded, just walk away. Gotye.
