Poetry

Unicorn

Written by Jacob Ibrag

Ears glued to her lips. She whispers

secrets while drawing on my chest with her

fingertips. Eye see through it. Awake in this bed

with a pathological smiling liar. Entranced by her

scent. Growing tired of the rising tide of promises

she sings underneath the moons light. Her words

steal my hearts limited beats. I’m hers till the sun

kisses my skin. This love fed my addiction. She had

me at hello till she lost me with everything else

that preceded it. Stranded in imagination.

Unicorn equivalent.

  1. What powerful poetry, reading it a second time only emphasizes the emotional power of these words. Well done!
