The Run

Written by Jacob Ibrag

The run, that’s all that truly matters.

Pacing through a tunnel with no light at

the end of it, or that’s what I try to keep

convincing myself. Avoiding my shadow

because when it nears this skin, I know

my tenure will have almost reached its

end. For a true moment I’ll pause and

look back for a final glance. I will shake

the hand of obscurity and bless it for

keeping me awake. After this run,

it’s a short crawl to the grave.
