Written by Jacob Ibrag
Inhale.
Her tiny fingers
made way to the beasts
heart. His eyes screamed
caution, yet she went on.
Forever altered, she melted
his facade and freed what was
living inside him for so long.
Overwhelmed, he attempted
to touch hers too. Forgetful of
his nature, her tears streamed
on to his skin. ‘Your claws,
they’re beautiful.’
Exhale.

Hi Eyes + Words,
This one certainly gets right to the heart of the matter. Quick and emotionally powerful.
Thank you for reading and liking so much on my blog. I really appreciate it.

This poem offers me a world/lifespan of its own, framed by the words Inhale and Exhale, which gives a physical aspect as well, adding to the experience. Life and death, really, breathing in and breathing out. Brilliant!😍

Your poem is an excellent surreal; phantasmagoria. It’s fantastic to think how your consciousness works? One can paint this poem. Anand Bose from Kerala.
