“I must not fear. Fear is the

mind-killer. Fear is the little-death

that brings total obliteration. I will

face my fear. I will permit it to pass

over me and through me. And when

it has gone past I will turn the inner

eye to see its path. Where the fear

has gone there will be nothing.

Only I will remain.”

  2. Fear is a funny thing. Sometimes everything you want is just there, on the other side of your fear.
Sometimes it’s the voice of reason saying, “Yo, you are about to do a stupid and dangerous thing.” Knowing which is which…there’s the rub.

What a great reminder today as a grapple with fear. Fear of to much of the unknown. What I must remember is that “Fear is a mind-killer and the little-death that brings obliteration. I must take that much needed step to face the fears head on, knowing that I am not alone.

  5. Love that quote. It’s pertinent to OCD as well. Maybe lots of things.

    Also available in meetings!…

I had that hanging over my desk in my last job – it’s a great way to antagonise your manager(and ensure a crappy mark in your appraisal, and maybe redundancy – d’oh!)
