“You think your pain and your heartbreak
are unprecedented in the history of the world,
but then you read. It was books that taught me
that the things that tormented me most were the
very things that connected me with all the people
who were alive, or who had ever been alive.”
– James Baldwin
Wow! That’s deep!

Lovely thoughts by Baldwin. Yes, that’s one of the beauties of reading: you get to realise that you’re not alone and that someone understands you. Can be cathartic and lend you strength. 🙂

Such a great philosophical piece with insightful truth! We are individual yet so alike. Even though the experiences are alike they are still unique in the same way that all snowflakes are snowflakes but each are unique. Excellent post. Come visit me!!
