I love this. It also brings to mind this thought that I have every now and then as I do my daily mundane tasks. As I brush my teeth, my hair, get dressed…. Every day. Every second. Every single person that we have met is living. They are brushing their teeth. They are getting dressed. They are going to work. They are living their lives. Every person you have not met. They do not stop existing because you do not think about them. Your reality is small compared to the millions of realities every day. Even those who have hurt me. They are waking up. They are getting dressed. They are living their lives. You cannot see far beyond yourself. Your poem reminded me of this thought because of the idea of people being “imaginable and consistently misimagined.” Our perceptions and realities are so constrained that people truly are imagined. Lovely and striking poem! Thank you for sharing!
Very surreal image 😉
