Frozen in the river. I stare up into the sky,
wishing that the sun frees me from my new chains.
All for nothing though, how did I get here? Why can’t
I remember my name? Still here. Still so confused. I can’t
feel my body, then again I feel every ray of the sun kissing
my skin. The Fall leaves dance on the surface, swaying
from side to side. It all feels so ticklish. I am so full of
hope. Then it all comes back to me, it all makes sense.
I remember my name. I am the River.
