Cliché

Written by Jacob Ibrag

Frustration courted me when I first saw you.

How can I select the right words to tell you how

much you’ve altered my existence. I’m afraid next to

you, and the air becomes too thick for me to swallow.

It’s like gravity has a grudge against me. You were

applying your make up yesterday and all I wanted to

do was to shout from the top of my lungs, ‘you’re

killing me!’ Can’t handle it. The thing is that I don’t

want this feeling to ever leave. Before you, days were

all melted onto each other. Meaningless. I’m swimming

in seconds that I’ve logged in my mind of your

smile taking me for a ride. I’m a walking cliché.

Hopelessly praying for a proper ending.
