You’ve got to ask yourself a question, and then you’ve got to travel inside your vein.
Your nature is as fickle as the leaves on a crunchy autumn afternoon. The tea infused with antioxidants won’t undo your poor collection of habits. The broken chair won’t fix itself. The lies you push through the grit of your teeth won’t go unnoticed.
When it all falls with the bridge, you’ve got to ask yourself a question.
You’ve got to travel inside your vein.
You’ve got to look inside the mirror and live in the mess that you’ve made.

I haven’t been active this year or the last. I hope to change that this Summer. With the completion of my second Bachelor’s degree, the faucet in my writers mind will finally go off. Maybe we’ll even do another open mic poetry slam, that is if there’s enough support behind the initiative. If you have any ideas or want to help, please reach out using the dedicated facebook group.
